Dear Brigi,
As a thank you I have been wanting to tell you what Beautyrobic means to me for a long time. A lot of things, so this letter is long. 😉
Workout – with shorter and longer interruptions and changing enthusiasm – has always been a part of my life. Although I have never been a competitive athlete, but because of the healthy lifestyle, and later of course also because of the vanity of the bikini seasons, I tried many different forms of movement. As a child I swam for 9 years, later I ran, went spinning, played squash tried several kinds of aerobics. Due to my PCOS and insulin resistancy diagnosed a couple of years ago, regular exercise became even more important, but in the long run I didn’t find joy in any of them, I did it only because I “had to”.
I also tried pole dancing. The lesson was great, but as far as coordination goes I am so anti-talented so I didn’t have a sense of success 🙂. At the same time of my class there was a Beautyrobic class next door. I became very curious and tried it the next day. It was the very first workout in my life when I wasn’t watching the time and waiting for it to end. I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere captivated me, plus my body quickly started to shape. Although I failed to execute the exercises perfectly at first, but the instructors were very attentive and kind, even during the training they dealt differently with the students, which is also rare. I had a pretty tough time at work last winter, but Beautyrobic wasn’t just a workout: it gave me recharging and relaxing after a lot of sedentary work. Thanks to the long stretching stress also dissolved in me by the end of the 90-minute workout. I went home much calmer. I told my girlfriend so much about it that she came to try it with me. She’s been a regular guest ever since.🙂. My sister lives in the countryside; unfortunately there is no Beautyrobic there, but when she visits me we always go together and really enjoy it.
I got pregnant with my son last spring. Probably, the many abdominal muscles built during Beautyrobic workouts also helped a lot to keep my tummy nicely “tucked in” and then went back soon after giving birth. It was not until the 5th month that my belly began to show. Though I couldn’t go to Beautyrobic, but up until the 6th month I ran about 5km and I could even exercise for a few days before giving birth. I was really looking forward to the 6-week check-up where my doctor allowed me to continue, so I was with you again for the first time after 7 weeks of giving birth. It was a fantastic feeling. I have been going ever since and luckily it didn’t have any bad effect on breastfeeding either. My baby accepted it right after workouts or the next day, even though I had fears about the circulating misconceptions. If mom is happy, the baby is happy!
Thank you for this super workout, and for Agi, Judit, Marietta and Niki for the super lessons !!!
